No, it’s community college for you. You need at least 6s on AP and a 38 on the act. I kid, of course, I would say you have an excellent shot at all three.

To be honest, I don’t believe you would stand out in admissions for anything in particular. Now is a good time to ask, “what can I do that other people applying to ivies don’t have?”

Remember, many people who apply to ivies are val, sal, 4.0 gpa 2300+ sat, while also winning national competitions like USAMO, USABO, etc. Do you have anything that makes you any more appealing than these people?

Not trying to be a downer, but trying to be realistic… Hope this helps

I think you have great credentials and will look like a strong candidate to these schools, but they have a lot of strong candidates apply and you should really make yourself stand out in some way through your ECs! I would just show the colleges your interests and how you spend your time through your ECs, so they know more about who you are as a person. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies everyone! @hpyscm: Something to keep in mind though, not all of the thousands of students who attend ivys have won these national competitions, only a very small percentage as far as I know. I respect your reply completely though, and it provides a nice contrast. Thanks.

You have a great chance, and Columbia is awesome. You have good EC’s, but any awards state or national? I don’t know the Bausch award, however, did you do any research? Especially if you want to major in science. Regardless, apply, you have a shot.

actually u have the best chance at Dukie out of all of these, but you have a chance at the others as well. All these schools get the most qualified students from around the world, you have to do something that help you stand out. Good luck!

Definitely do not send that SAT in, as that ACT is much better. Your SAT II’s are fantastic…I’m jealous! You stand a really good shot at all three–just make sure you can convey your EC’s well in your essays, as they are verging on generic. As aforementioned, SHP is a nice honor, and your leadership is commendable.

Definately apply early at Columbia ifnyou are interested, it will really help. Act is great, GPA is very solid, and your ECs are solid (yet not jumping off the page).

If you do ED at Columbia you should have a solid chance (obviously tough overall, but you’d be very competitive). Maybe do something more with your ECs, but they are very good (maybe a bit below CC/Ivy level though). Still with Ed, I think you have a good chance at Columbia!

With Columbia Summer programand good gpa, good ec I think you have a great chance…
Maybe want to improve your SAT?
But good chance overall
Good luck !
