AP Classes: Lang (3), Lit, World History, US History (4), French Lang, Physics I (2), Physics II, Environmental Science (4), Stats, Macro Economics
Income Bracket: ~$40,000
URM: No (pretty sure I have the worst of the lot, seeing that I’m an Asian female)

I know that I am quite an average student–it’s not like my grades are particularly stellar neither are my testing scores. I just want to know whether I even have a chance at these schools. Also, in regards to AP scores, how much do colleges pay attention to them? I am quite disappointed in my AP Lang score, and I don’t want it to negatively affect my application process. I also plan to retake the ACTs, and am aiming for at least a 32. I’m not sure whether I should take the SAT again or take SAT IIs instead in October because I do want to apply EA/ED.

Thank you, and if anyone wants, I’ll chance them back!

Yeah I think you definitely have a chance. However, many of the schools are more of reaches since you have no hook. The biggest issue I see is that you don’t stand out anywhere. Grades, EC, test scores, etc. Are all average-ish. So what I would recommend is finding some way to stand out, better if you could accomplish something physically but seeing that it is highly unlikely, I guess write the best essay you ever will in your life.

Also, I Think you already got this down, but get low matches, safeties etc. I suspect you probably have a lot and didn’t bother mentioning them

I would say you have a pretty solid chance! I would say that Barnard, Georgetown, and Boston College are reaches. The other schools are closer to matches! I would look for some safeties though, because a lot of those are crapshoots. Maybe consider American University or George Washington University?

Will you chance me back?
