bump please chance me :)

You have good grades and SAT scores are nice. Since you are chinese, why bother taking the AP test and SATII in Chinese? Did you take any other AP classes last year besides Chinese?

However your list of ECs sounds quite interesting. What motivated you to work in the area of suicide prevention and micro-lending. If you can weave an interesting story around this, then it will catch some attention.

KK, no i didnt take any other APs because sophomores at our school are not allowed to take more than 1 AP

@Sgopal2 Chinese may not be OP’s mother tongue. It also shows a degree of proficiency in the language.

@HvePassion @sgopal2 Chance me for Harvard/yale/cornell/stanford/UCB/UCLA?

bump please chance me :)

With your GPA I think you’ve got a solid shot at the lower ivies, however, if you’re aiming HYPS, try to take as many classes as you can and get your UW up to a 3.95 for a solid shot. Your ECs are good, but just remember that you will only have 10 spaces on the common app to summarize everything you’ve done in high school, with 100 characters to describe. Pick a few of your leadership roles and do something really amazing with them. You have a lot of potential, good luck!
bump! what else could i do to improve my EC’s?

Your scores and ECs are solid, but if you want higher chances, shoot for a gpa over 3.92 or a SAT score over 2300. I like your ECs, especially the book you said you’ve written. You should try a sport for the last 2 years to show colleges you’re actually well-rounded.
Stanford- reach
UCs and JHU- match
Try for MIT/ Caltech- reaches as of now
Good luck, don’t stress out too much :).

I recommend doing Cornell ED or Northwestern ED (if you havent considered it) both will have high acceptance rate.

Thanks a lot for the chances! Does Early decision really give you higher acceptance rate? Why is that?

It shows commitment since you have to attend if you’re accepted. It also protects yield.
Can you afford all these schools?

@amaranthined can you chance me? what else can i do to improve my chances? im making a startup right now too btw
