To start I was diagnosed with severe hypertension freshman and sophomore year and the mix of missing school for doctors appointments and the different medicines making me sick screwed up my GPA pretty bad. I finally figured out that I cared junior year and I've made all A's this entire year. So i'm asking what are my chances at getting accepted to Tech.
Here's my stats:

I live in GA (tech accepts mostly in-state)
Male
Caucasian
SAT: 730 CR 660 M 660 W
GPA the way tech calculates it: 3.25

AP'S: Economics, Government, U.S. History, and next year AP Calculus BC
EC's: Varsity football at a 6A school for four years, leadership council appointed by peers, and the IDEALS leadership school led by Jack Williams a Georgia tech graduate

Im just asking for an honest opinion on whether or not I have a chance.
Thank you for any input!

GPA is pretty far below the range. I’d say it’s a reach but we’ll see how they view your positive trend & medical excuse. If you’re motivated enough to make up for a rough start, starting somewhere else and transferring through RETP or TAG might not be a bad idea.

Thank you for the advice
That’s the plan right now, to try my chances and if not transfer in

I got accepted into the class of 2016 EARLY, and my SAT and GPA were far below the mark; SAT- 720 Math, W- 620, CR-600 with a GPA of a 3.0- ish. I was considered in-state and like you’ve taken APs, I’ve taken IB.

As far as I can say, I was really lucky to get in. This goes to show that scores may appear as not that much of a matter but this obv. not true (because although number-wise I wasn’t too good my ECs and possibly essay played a major role).

You can always get in, but what you want to achieve with what time you have left is try to improve overall obv. and maintain whatever is good right now if you know I mean. Only issue is that you will indefinitely be competing against a significantly higher amount of potential candidates for Tech’s accepteances.

Good luck; try not to falter as this year defines a lot. Understand that my senior year was more fruitful than not because I got in immediately when the school year started, in Dec., so I was free/ with a peace of mind till now, and still am. Studying hard now to avail what credits I can haha :)

Thanks a lot! I always knew it was a stretch, but all I really wanted was a little hope!
Have fun next year!
