Teacher Recs: Planning on asking my History teacher and TA teacher whom I've had for 2 previous years. Both will be stellar and very good.

Additional info: My school is a small charter school and we do not have AP Classes. However, we have the option to take 1 AP class a year at the school next to ours, which I decided to do. In place of our AP Classes, we take college classes at our city's community college. Therefore, I have taken: Sociology, Sociology Minority Groups, Statistics, Dynamics of Group Discussion, and will be taking English this Fall. It's a little strange, but each year my school has a senior class of around 25, and at least 7 seniors get into UCB! My sister also currently goes to UCB atm.

Hi! Unfortunately, the UC system asks for all scores. But I guess it doeant matter. Anyways, I think those are g9od chances. The moat important thing is to write good essays.

The UC system doesn’t generally read your essays…so idk what you ^ are saying

Berkeley: Aim for 2100+/31+

Berkeley would be a match if you get the SAT a little higher

With your GPA you simply need to get that SAT up!

Also I have noticed some Berkeley admits w/ “low” SAT’s like yours get in, probably more so than any other selective college. The UC system has been unhappy with the current state of standardized testing for years now, thus I believe they are more likely to be lenient with test scores. So bottom line, apply no matter what and do whatever you can to bring your scores up.

They don’t read essays? Then how do they distinguish candidates with aimilar sat and gpa? Why are there so many presentations in how important the essay is?
