Please chance me guys.

Hello everyone. Im Avi and I am applying to several schools across the nation.
I was trying to find an answer to this question unsuccessfully.
I am applying to Columbia, Princeton, Yale, Harvard, MIT, U-penn, Cornell (and a few "lower level" schools).
I am also applying for financial aid.

My grades are:
SAT I W-650 M-800 CR-600
SAT II MATH I 770 MATH II 800 PHYSICS 800
TOEFL 110
GPA 96/100

I obviously have a problem with my English level.
Do you think a have any chance?

PS
I am an ex-Special operations commander from israel.

Thank you

With a 110 on the TOEFL you don’t have that much of a problem with English. Try to improve your CR/Wr results. Other than that, you may have a chance of getting in if you have nice ECs/great essays.

Thank you for your response TiagoCorreia.
I’m sorry, but I dont know what EC is, would you mind being a little more broad?
And one more thing, from browsing in the forum, I read many threads which concluded that all scores above 100 on the toefl exam are the same, that is, it does not matter if one gets 101 or 119. Is this true? one only needs to pass 100+?

Thanks again.

EC - extracurricular activities. Stuff you do outside school, like sports/projects/research/intruments, anything.
About the TOEFL, i don’t know. My interviewer for MIT told me that they don’t put that much weight on the TOEFL score, as long as it is >100. But I guess that between 2 candidates exactly the same (although this would never occur) they would prefer the one with better TOEFL score.

^^^ the guy is x-Special operations commander from Israel. That’s one eye-popping EC!
