I'm trying to cut down my list of schools and want to stay somewhat near the northeast. I like medium to slightly large schools (anything except VERY small) and have alumni connections to Syracuse University (Father and Uncle attended, Grandmother worked there).

Thank you SO much if you respond, it really means so much to me. This time of the year has me stressed out beyond words, so I really appreciate the help!

Also: would NYU be to much of a reach school? I love it, but don’t want to waste money on an application if it isn’t realistic.

Anybody? Should I check back tomorrow?

In the future don’t bump so quickly (wait like 24 hours), but anyway…

NYU would be a large reach, Northeastern as well, BU and Syracuse will probably be low reaches. Sorry I don’t know enough about the rest…

Sorry! I haven’t been on here in a while and wasn’t sure how fast the topics moved!
Just to clarify, it isn’t BU, it’s University of Massachusetts at Boston! (not sure if I just read that wrong but just making sure!)

Ah yes, I skimmed the list, sorry…

Ok! no problem just wanted to make sure haha
and thank you so much!!

Any ideas for any of the other colleges? Particularly Marist?

buummppppp

last bump for the day

bump

Marist College (First Choice) - match
University of Connecticut - high match
Quinnipiac - low match / safety
University of Delaware - high match
UMass - Boston - safety
Northeastern University - reach
Syracuse University - match as long as your not applying to newhouse
Fordham University - match

Outside of northeastern I’d say you have a really good shot to get into all of these schools. It’s still worth applying to northeastern because you do have a chance of getting in

They all seem within reach except Syracuse and NYU those might be reaches

ok! Thank you! Syracuse really isn’t my favorite, I just have a lot of connections with the Dean of Admissions so I figured I’d give it a shot
I also didn’t have a chance to take SAT IIs, does that affect my admission chance at Northeastern? I know it’s a reach so will that just eliminate my chance at all? Also my cousin goes there, but I don’t know if they care about Alum relations…
Thank you all so much!! :)
