I am planning on applying to Berkeley for nuclear engineering. They require an introductory electric circuits class, but the cc that I will be attending (Chabot College) doesn't offer it. My plan was to take the electric circuits class at another cc (Ohlone College). However, there are pre-requisites to get into that electric circuit class. Does that mean I have to fulfill the pre-reqs at Ohlone? Or will they let me take the class if I took the same pre-reqs at Chabot?

These types of concerns are specific to the schools in question. You need to contact Ohlone and ask them.

I'm just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and how they handled it.

i goto dvc but i needed to clear some pre reqs for a course at chabot so i sent my dvc transcripts to chabot and had counseling at chabot clear me for pre reqs for the class i needed.

oh nice. I guess it will work for me too

I got o Ohlone and Mission College. I've taken pre-requisites of one course at one school, and then attend the other school for a following course (went back and forth with math quite regularly).

I am actually in the circuits class at Ohlone right now lol...

Anyway, just get a printout of your unofficial transcript, and bring the course catalog from Chabot. Go to Ohlone, and they will point you in the direction of the engineering division office. There you will have this totally unfriendly, fat, lazy, and borderline rude woman you will have to deal with. After a few days, you will get a phone call telling you if the course was accepted as the pre-requisite for the circuits class, and then you can enroll in the circuits class.

Enjoy
