What Do I Have To Do Even More Or Get To Be Accepted Into Ucla, Uci, Ucb Or Harvard? What Must I Do In My High School Life?

Freshman year means nothing. It is so ridiculously easy that it is in no way a gauge of how you will do in high school.

whys a freshman on CC? come back in 2 years. enjoy your life, not waste it. trust me, high school comes only once in a lifetime and if you waste ur first year paniking and stressing on college, you will not survive high school. u seriously gotta realize freshman year is crap to many colleges. UC's dont even use dat for GPA caluculation. And ur 10th grade GPA possibility..a 4.6? dat is just a way too high of a prediction.

agreed with the other posters... ur sn is an oxymoron*

there is no way 1 AP course and 2 honors courses can boost your gpa to a 4.6 unless we're talking >massive< grade inflation....though I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, 4.2 freshman year and ranked 10th is a bit odd...out of curiosity...how many honors courses are you currently taking?

you're a freshman, don't worry about it. Just do your best, get through the next two years and have fun. Do what you love, if at the end of it all, the Ivy-level colleges don't like you, so be it. The world isn't over. You'll still get into a top school; I can see that from what you've posted even now...

How does your school calculate GPA for honors courses? It also seems a bit strange you would be aware of your GPA for the year three months before the end of the school year...Also, please tell us how you know the President. Just knowing him won't get you in. Please post more realistic data if yo wish for accurate answers. It is also difficult to evaluate, as you are only a freshmen, and we do not even know your full stats for one year. You also have not taken the SAT, which is oftentimes integral for such an evaluation to be done correctly. Also, please do not begin every single word with a capital letter.

lol rexrun, my gpa sophomore yr was 4.8. if i did it, he could easily get a 4.6

paniwani - what was your rank sophomore year?

^ paniwani...haha dood..im just saying dat predicting dat HIGH OF A DAMN GPA is ridiculous. To tell you the truth, people who predict that high of a grade will not get it. I will almost guarentee it. anyways..paniwani im not tryign to insult him, im just saying he has to realize freshman means crap and he seriously needs to get a life instead of staying on CC during a year where he has to transition from middle school to high school. anywyas..wow 4.8 huh? I had a 4.6...hahaha and DAT my friend was straight A's.

Your schools have odd grading systems....
at my school, the valedictorian for this year's senior class has about a 4.3, similar to last year's and the year before for that matter....

rank soph = 1

asiancracker, you need Bush to hook u up with some bomb ass -once in a lifetime- awards

in your topic, you said you had a 4.0...didn't you?
did it really drop that much? or is that unweighted?

unweighted - 4.0 every yr up to junior
weighted -
fresh = 4.2
soph = 4.8
junior = 5.0

how many honors courses are you currently taking?
To answer your question, ladyinred, i am currently taking one honors class, which is English Honors. See, my school is a magnet school. And freshmen year, we can only take one honors class. Plus, our weighted is on a .2 boost so since I earned straight A's the first semester, I had a 4.00 plus passing a honors or ap class give you that extra .2 boost. Thus, I received a 4.2. <--This answers your question too MCZ. =] Next year, I will take AP bio, world history honors and english honors. So if I earned straight A's, i would get a 4.6 gpa =] Oh my former teacher is a valued member of the Republican Party. He is also the CEO of a busines, who knows lots of politicians. He knows George Bush personally, and often tells him of my accomplishments. Because of this, George Bush (Our current president) also know me for the leadership abilities and potential that I have. I received the Presidential Scholar Award in 8th grade as well =] Rexrun, that is awfully mean of you. I know freshmen year really doesn't mean much, but at my school, it's also the stepping stone to getting into higher classes without taking the ap exams. That is why I am trying hard in freshmen year, for I am attending a magnet school. And yes, I do have a life. I am enjoying high school as much as anybody, with the social life and the parties and such. So please Rexrun, don't judge and or display prejudice towards me. It's highly unacceptable and very unprofessional in the real world. Thanks a lot guys. You guys are a great help! Personally, I would like to end up with identical gpas and Sats scores as all of you! =] Thanks!

asiancracker.. UCI and HArvard is the difference between Black and White.

(well actually asian and white.)

"Plus, I Have Connections So I Know George Bush Personally"

receiving the Presidential Scholar Award doesnt mean you know the President personally, ya jack*ss.
