Assignment : Is it a mistake to value action over thought?

It is not a mistake to value action over thought. Actions were originally a collection of thoughts that were revised carefully and then put to life. Accordingly, we need actions to determine what was the person initially thinking.

People need actions to show their positive or objection in something. In the great story of Rosa Park's idealistic actions, we could conclude how her actions changed the world positively. Rosa Park, a normal black woman, was sitting in a bus when when a white guy came to her and forcefully asked her to get up. In the name of racism, the white guy through she doesn't have the right to sit only because she's black. Accordingly, Rosa Park decided to stand up for her rights and refused to get up. As a result, when Rosa Park took the action and faced the white man, she proved to the man and to everyone that we all are equal with equal rights. If Rosa Park had just a thought of not getting up and haven't took an action, she would have never stopped racism instantly. Hence, actions resemble the person's power, which is needed to make a significant mark on our society.

However, because our world is not flawless, Isaac Newton used another way to view the world. As a great scientist, Isaac always thought profoundly about everything around him. He thought to himself a lot of "why's" and "how's" until he came with his own theories. However, those thoughts were not proved whether they are right or wrong until he tried them on. Therefore, after thinking, discovering, and inventing intellectually, Isaac Newton needed physical actions to prove his theories right.

Lastly, another example that supports the idea that actions are more important than thoughts is about John Robelling, the creation of the Brooklin Bridge. Without putting his thoughts into actions and taking his sons help to build the bridge, the brigde would have never been a concrete in our present day.

Taking actions is the strongest way to change the world significantly. We need powerful stand ups to recreate the world and our society to a better world to live in. Eventually, we need people like Rosa Park, who valued her actions over her thoughts and created a significant sign on racism. To conclude, actions are more valuable than thoughts because actions creat heros such Isaac Newton and Robelling.

The way you approached the topic is the most shallow approach to the topic. What I mean is, the way you’ve defined “thought” in this context makes the whole thing a no brainer. No one could ever disagree with it, which makes the whole thing kind of pointless, like arguing that up means up. Try thinking of “thought” in a different context and you’ll come closer to what the author of the question had in mind.

Oh yes got your point.
Thank you!
