Topic- Do choices determine a person's life? (something like that)
here it is( I used the original time limit) :

Every endeavor in life takes risk, and

these risks are what make success probable. Much

often people make the delusional statement that

everything they do is predetermined by someone

and they end up giving up and not accomplishing

what they are really capable of. One person from

history whose exemplary helps affirm this fact

is Marie Curie, the Polish born French physicist

and Chemist. Also an example from my own

personal experience helps prove this fact.
Back in the early 1900's, academics was

thought to be solely a man's job. Consequently,

women were barred from furthering their

education. However, Marie Curie as intelligent

and persistent as she was, hung on until she was

27 years old before getting admitted into a

university in France. Her choices of hanging on

to academics as something she really wanted even

though she was frequently discriminated against

proves this point.
As a boy I used to be disrespected and

demoralized by my teachers and friends. I,

however, grew to learn how to make decisions

that will help shape my life for the better. I

learnt that taking harder classes and learning

things that I previously despised will

inevitably prepare me for the unknown future. I

ultimately learnt that fear is only brought

about by ignorance. Choices are like life's

steer, they turn toward where you point them.
In conclusion, I have learnt that making

the right choices are extremely essential to

having a better life. Life is like a cooking

pot- the choice of ingredients always determine

the taste of the soup.
