I am a guaranteed transfer to ILR and am feeling extremely overwhelmed. I did very well my first semester at a selective state college, but one of my classes this semester is driving me crazy. My learning style is not compatible with how the professor teaches and assesses the class, and it is making me doubtful about whether or not I will get at least a B by the time I need to hand in the midterm grade report. I know I have the aptitude and work ethic to do well in the class if it was taught by a different professor (I am unofficially auditing another section of the same class taught by a different professor and it makes much more sense to me), but I am not sure if it will be reflected in my midterm grade report. What should I do? I am currently trying to supplement the course by auditing the other section, going to office hours, and attending tutoring, but the class is still a complete pain and I am worried about receiving less than a B. The course is not a requirement for ILR but isn't completely unrelated either. I would be devastated if this one class prevented me from attending ILR. If I did get less than a B, could I talk to my transfer counselor about this situation or do something that could possibly help me in the eyes of the admissions committee? I feel lucky to have the transfer option but would be both really upset and have a lot of planning to do if I don't end up attending ILR.
