Guaranteed Transfer question

I am an applicant for the guaranteed transfer admissions to the College of Human Ecology and I have everything set except my Midterm Report. I just had a question for the past guaranteed transfer students about this. I could pretty much send this report even after the March 15th deadline, correct?

And I had another question regarding this report. In what manner did you approach your teachers in your school to ask for their signatures and midterm grade. I'm not freaking out or worried that they wouldn't do it, I'm just curious as to how I should approach and ask them. Thanks for the help

I went to each prof during their office hours. If I hadn't already met the prof (in the case of my larger courses) I introduced myself. After that...I briefly explained that I was applying for transfer to Cornell and that the school requested an estimation of my midterm grade.

Most profs didn't say anything about it....1 asked why I wanted to leave my current institution and my calc prof said "well, your midterm grade is a B+ which may not be good enough for Cornell so I'll say it's an A-...you'd better do very well your final" (and I did...got a 100)

Good luck with the rest of your GT app!

I simply approached them in class just to give them a heads up--like "hey, this is my situation, if you don't mind thinking over what grade I currently have (since my english and bio courses don't really do "grades" until the end of the year). Some of then signed it right then and there, others wanted time to think about it and told me to come to office hours. Most of them were like "OH CORNELL? I wouldn't want to keep you out of there..." and gave me a 'A'. So that was nice :)

I'm not positive about the latest you can send them in, but I would call Kathleen Sheils; shes very helpful. HTH!

^^CS is the transfer admissions counselor for CALS only. The OP is a GT for HumEc.
