I currently have a physics- 740 and math level II- 770. I took these tests back in Junior year and should do better this year. Should I retake the test in January? Or, would I be wasting time taking it again as these scores are good enough? I really want to get into Brown and would be willing to take these tests again to have a better chance of getting in! I think I could probably raise my physics to 770+ and my math to 800 (based off practice tests).

I thin you’re fine. Those are very competitive scores. I don’t think bumping them up 30 points will make or break you.

you are good!!

yeah i think you are fine

also… I applied as a physics major, but have a few B+s in Physics on my transcript (I take IB Physics). I am hoping that perhaps taking the test again and getting a 790-800 on it would help my overall application.

Those are definitely very good scores. One of my scores was a 690 in U.S. and I was accepted. You’re fine.

I think you would be wasting time unless it wouldn’t take you too much to study for.
If studying isn’t going to cut into school time or other things you could better be doing (like your essay), I would work at it, since if there are two students with the exact same scores and equally stellar essays, that different in subject scores would make a difference.
