HELP!!!
I'm applying to yale and I was wondering with these stats what are my chances?

I have a 27 ACT
3.3 GPA
Ranked: 13: 87

ec's:
DECA 10-12 (Executive Board 11-12)
Student Council 9-12 (executive Board 12)
FBLA 9-10, 12
FCCLA- 10
Quill and Scroll- 10
4-H- 4-10, 12
Band- 6-12
Upward Bound- 10-12
Tennessee Boy's State 2008
Who's Who Among American High School Students 2007
Tennis 6-12

Sorry, but I can't chance you with only that...

Does your school release rank/percentile?

What is your ethnicity?

How is your high school in terms of type/rank?

What is Quill and Scroll? A writing club? Upward Bound? Others?

4quill and scroll was a poetry club that failed b/c the teacher didn't like doing it after one year. Upward Bound is a college group to help students with low incomes to get into college. It helps them over the summer to get a jump start on the next years classes. 3We are a public (and ) blue ribbon school.
2.White. 1.And yes.

^ The GPA is still too low, sorry but your chances are extremely slim and there's not much you can do about it. You could get a perfect ACT, but the GPA is still just too low.

Gosh, you guys are so depressing~ (no offense meant).

Haha XD If I were you I'd apply anyway. Come on, you'd never know. Maybe Yale would see something special in you that you don't...realize? (Who knows...)

But it's sort of funny how your 3.3GPA still gets you pretty high up in the ranks! (A 3.3 in my school is 134/414)

UGH!! I forgot more info and as I think harder I'm pulling more in. I have taken the hardest classes my school offers. (unfortunately only extends to honors english) Sorry I'm really trying to make sure 100% no. um in upward bound I was voted 2006 Most likely to succeed at Spanish I, 2007 Most Likely to succeed at Geometry, 2008 Most likely to Succeed at college level algebra, 2008 Most Studious, 2008 Perfect Attendance. Also I forgot 25 and Above ACT club 11-12.

I hate to be blunt, but I don't think you have a shot at Yale. With that said, there are PLENTY of schools amazing schools like Yale (small liberal art and science colleges) that you would be VERY competitive for.. It all depends on what you want regarding location, student body, social scene etc.

Don't get discouraged, there are thousands of schools that accept great students like yourself!

Thank you I really want to go some where good that I'll be challenged at and that's why I picked Yale. Where would be the best place for my stats?

Also what all could effect it? like something that can still be helped or something too late to fix? my parents are divorced, Mom makes (46,000 a year), Mom and sister go to college.

ps. Thank you everyone for being blunt. rather here it now than get my hopes up and fall.
