I got into UCSD with an overall GPA of a 3.03 (university link), now it looks like I will be receiving a 2.89 for my spring semester. This will bring down my cumulative gpa to a 2.98

Do I only have to keep up a 2.0 GPA my spring semester or does my overall have to be a 3.00?

Will I be rescinded?

Both, overall has to be 3.0 and above 2.0 for spring.

What happens if my overall dips to a 2.98? Will I be rescinded or what?

Yes, since you were accepted through University Link and by an assumption that you will satisfy the contract. By becoming ineligible all the way through is a rescinded admission.

Do they always rescind or could they potentially put me on probation or something?

Unfortunately, they don’t. It’s a rescind and they will just admit another student from the waitlist.

I highly recommend start working hard to achieve that cumulative GPA of +3.00 right now! Unless your semester is over…
