Hello! I'm a senior in high school and am currently taking AP Physics C. But I only put Physics CEM and not Physics C Mechanics in my list of ap exams for my college applications. I just found out that I had to put both since I have to take both exams after taking the class. WHAT DO I DO NOW? Is this going to affect my admissions?! I'm very worried now! D: Help is very much appreciated!

It will not affect your admission in any way at all. AP Physics C is on your transcript, that’s what is important.

Oh, but i don’t think it will be in my transcript until the end of my senior year. How are colleges going to know now while they are dealing with the admissions process? Would they know that since I am taking Physics C, I’ll be taking both the EM and Mechanics Exams? Thanks for your help!

Take a deep breath. It’s not that important. But if it makes you feel better, an email or phone call to admissions could work magic.

… If you actually applied, you’d remember that a) you reported your senior year schedule in the application, and b) you will be sending a mid year report (usually).

Okay, so as long as they know that I’m taking AP Physics C, they will know that I’m taking the two exams ( EM and Mechanics)?

samslam- if i call, then they will make the changes?
Thanks again!

You can just e-mail to make the change. Taking the course is far more important than the exams is what I’m saying. Whether or not you even take the exams, they will mainly care that you took AP Physics C. AP exams have almost no role in admissions. AP classes, however, do.

Oh ok, that makes me feel better now. Thanks for all your help! :)
