Please help me!

I am an international student (who has lived in the States for 13 years) and am attending a private boarding school in New England. I am also applying for FA (It is of necessity)

I have a low GPA: Around 3.0-3.2 (depending on my Senior Fall term grade) and a relatively high ACT: 35. I am thinking about retaking the SAT which i got a 2040 on Junior year. My SAT II scores are also relatively good: SAT II Math: 800 and SAT II Physics: 770. I have taken 7 APs and have received two 5's, three 4's and two 3's.

I also received 5 varsity letters (up until Junior Year) and am captain for my Cross Country team (#2 Runner). I have received All-Founder's league runner honors and have competed in the USATF XC Junior Olympics Nationals meet.

I am currently working as an assistant in a Bio lab.

Please help me find some colleges in my league!

I was hoping to apply to Northwestern, Wesleyan and UChic but please add others!

Oh boy. No matter how high your test scores are, colleges value your grades (GPA) through four years of high school a great deal more. Top schools may admit someone with a 1900-2000 on their SAT granted they have a stellar GPA, superb ECs, and unique essays - usually they don’t admit simply on a good ACT/SAT with other gaping deficiencies. A 3.0-3.2 GPA will just not cut it for Wesleyan, NU, or UChicago. Based on your SAT IIs and ACT, I would assume you are still a pretty bright kid, but all the schools you listed seem virtually impossible to get into. Sorry. I think your best bet is to later transfer into one of the schools you seem to favor so highly. Out of high school, I just don’t see an acceptance letter on the horizon for those schools.

Is your 3.0-3.2 GPA W or UW?

@OCELITE - My 3.0-3.2 GPA would be UW

@Tinfoyl - Even if I show an extreme upward performance Senior fall and winter? Also do you have any other suggestions?
