Please Help Me.

Hi, I am a senior who is applying to 3 ivy leagues and 8 mid-level schools (Within Top 30).
I have a SAT score of 2120, but my subject test scores are Math (1st time)-730 Math (2nd time)-710 (Fell asleep)
US History (600) Fell asleep.
I plan to take 3 sat subject tests(Math 2, Us.History, Biology M) in Jan. 24. The 3 ivy leagues (Dartmouthm Brown and Harvard) states on their website that they will take scores for the Jan.24 test. My question is Should I take the Math 2 for the 3rd time ?? I am confident that if I study, I can make at least a 770, or would there be no point of taking math 2 again ??

Should I even take the subject tests in Jan ??

Will those universities look at all your scores or just the ones you send in? Also, um, I don’t mean to sound rude, but you fell asleep because you were just tired or was there a genuine reason for it?

Yes you should take the subject tests. I don’t know about taking math2 again, it just doesn’t sit right to take it so many times. If you can get 770 why didn’t you do that last time? Seems more likely you will get 700. I don’t know, I don’t pay that much attention to that topic, why don’t you look in the testing forums, but they are really too test obsessed in there, so take it with a grain of salt, okay? And I hope you have a solid safety or two you will be happy if that turns out to be what your actual choice is in the end. Not pointed at you, just for anyone to consider.

Yes, Enthouse, all the schools that I have applied to accept Jan. scores. I fell asleep because I suffer from a minor case of insomnia, so, I have moments where I can’t stop my body from falling asleep.

BrownParent, Would you say UGA and GAtech are considered safety ?? I currently reside in GA and I got a 770 on Math.

for the SAT

The 3 unis you mentioned do accept score choice so they won’t know how many times you’ve given the subject SATs before. So if you think you can get a better score in Math 2, I say go for it.

Thank you very much!!!

In theory yes they should be safeties but in reality I would add a complete sure bet if you haven’t been accepted anywhere yet ie: you didn’t submit an early action application for UGA. GA Tech isn’t a safety for anyone.

Since they offer score choice go for it if you are committed to another round of subject tests and can prepare. I would, however, suggest you start with US Hist since you know what to expect on the test and need a better score; then decide if you want to take Bio or Math for the second test. If you need three scores I would suggest taking Bio second and leave math to last. If you need only 2 scores then it is your choice. But if you have a propensity to fall asleep during tests it makes sense that you will be more tired as the morning goes on and your last/third test might suffer the most. And a 730 math won’t be a deal breaker for any schools on your list. Just a thought.
