PLEASE HELP transferring to Hofstra.

Hey guys. I am currently a freshman going to baruch college. I thought that being in the city was going to be amazing and i would have the best time but i am not liking it at all.. there s no social life and it is just study and sleep. I want to transfer to hofstra because i know a lot of people there and i have so much fun every time i go out there and meet so many new people so easily. What are your options on this? I am also wondering how much scholarship money i can get. I believe i can get into the honors program there. is there any way for me to pay a little if i keep my grades up in my current school? please let me know anything you would like to contribute. thank you!!

Commenting mostly because I might transfer there too, so we could be in the same boat (and maybe the same orientation crew)! As for scholarships, I applied and was accepted there…most you can get as a transfer is $16K.

Student95123,
That’s great you are transferring to Hofstra, welcome! It is very easy to meet a whole bunch of different people at Hofstra! There are so many different clubs you can join, events to get involved with, and opportunities to take advantage of that you will meet people! My best advice to you is to get involved as soon as you get here! As far as scholarship money goes, there is no way for me to tell you exactly what type of scholarship you will get, but if you contact Admissions, they might be able to help you our with that!
