Please help. Trying to transfer seems impossible

So basically I’ve been going to this community college for two semesters now with 37 credits. I planned to transfer after a year to Penn State or University of Delaware. I planned to major in engineering but came into the biggest roadblock that is really causing so much stress.
In high school I had the opportunity to take pre-calculus in high school but instead took a lesser math class because it was “senior year in high school ad no one really cared.” I took that literally. Now I can’t transfer to either school. I wanted to go to University Park at Penn State but because my math class is too low. I can’t even apply for the business school to eventually go there since they don’t let people with over 29 credits to do that program. Same rules apply for Delaware. Basically that decision that I made in junior year of high school which I casually picked a class is causing so much stress and its really hard to function. I am not a bad student as this school year was very successful in terms of grades. I just made a decision in junior year of high school that is determining my college career.
Obviously this is my fault but I had no clue (I should have I know). My guidance counselors didn’t help at all at the time. I would have to apply as like a communications major to fulfill where I would want to go to college.
All I’m asking now (besides venting) is what do I do? I’m only a freshman and this shouldn’t be how college should be going. I should be worrying about grades but instead I’m just worrying about transferring. I really don’t want to stay at community another year but should I if can get the calculus class I need? Is it possible to start as a freshman so I can go to Penn State main. Please help!

@Jup611 You said Penn and Delaware has a rule. Does this rule only apply to external transfer students? I mean can’t you just get in their college of arts and then move to their business college as a internal transfer. Everyone knows internal transfers have a higher chance than external ones. Or can you take summer math class and transfer to the schools?

@yankeebanger I wanna believe that but for Penn State, a counselor when I went to visit, said that its super hard and I might not even make to the main campus if I continue engineering. I can if I choose a different major that’s not as competitive but then that brings up if I’ll even find a major that I’ll like. Basically I have one more class till I’m in calculus but then I’ll be in my sophomore year by then. I’m not sure if I can for Delaware as I don’t know what to even apply for.

You should call the school and ask them. If you can’t, then maybe you can take summer classes and go for another semester. Don’t give up hope! I’m the same as you and that’s what I’m doing. I’m going to transfer and I actually have to retake my SAT and get a 1500+ even though my last SAT was 900. If you ever need an ear, just message me! I know what you’re going through.
