So I am currently a Freshman at an instate UNC system college, hoping that someone can help me figure out if it is worth it for me to apply to UNC Chapel Hill this year. Money is tight and I just would rather wait if I didn’t have an okay chance.
For starters, I am a URM- Native American (regisgered with tribe and everything) and African-American.
High School stats:
3.6 GPA
SAT 1780 (Not very good at Math)
I had excellent EC’s- Captain of Equestrian team, was a Mentor in a program to help Freshman, President and founder of a club, held a Business & Marketing internship, a few camp counseling positions, ran track, etc
College stats:
I’m a Bio/Global Studies double major
3.39 GPA
Will be applying to the Honors College (GPA isn’t great but its not too hard to get into a my University)
I’m also Co-President of the Native American Association at my college and I’m in a sorority.
I know my college GPA isn’t great but I’m wondering if my EC’s, good essays, and being a Native student is enough to make applying to UNC worth it.
Thanks
