Low income

I only care about two things from my college.
1. Cost
2. Good computer science program

Is there any cheap colleges with a good computer science program that I can get into?

The only one I see right now is SUNY Stony Brook but it doesn't provide a lot of financial aid.

Can anybody please help? I have been searching for hours but I cant seem to find a college that fits?

well, it is going to take you more than a few hours to find a list to which to apply. take your time and do it well.

where do you live?

I mean I’ve been searching for longer but I cant find any other schools except something like Stony Brook or Cuny brooklyn

Your first priority is cost. Therefore the first place you look is in-state public schools and rule every single one of them out before moving on because: 1) they don’t have a good compsci program or 2) you learn of a public OOS or a private somewhere where you would pay less than you would at any of these state schools. The first half of your work can be done quickly if your priorities don’t change: the state schools will offer you a choice or two (like Stony Brook). Learning of a public OOS or a private that is cheaper than the state school(s) and offers compsci can take as long as you want it to. You’re not going to get merit with a 3.1 and the 3.1 isn’t likely to improve much in the time you have left.

If all the schools are too expensive, you start with a community college (it’s cheaper) and work very hard to get a 4.0 taking mostly courses that don’t have to do with compsci (the transfer school is going to want you to earn most of your major credits there). Then you seek a transfer, starting with the state schools again and schools that offer transfers money (Syracuse is one, but I cannot recall how much they offer).

What CUNY can you commute to from home?

NYIT
Alfred State
Cobbleskill
Dehli
Farmingdale
Morrisville
perhaps Fredonia or Oswego

Some of these schools may offer merit for your SAT score.

Then, if you’re willing to travel, see if there are schools that would accept you and have a decent cost. Applying to a school where your GPA is in the midrange and your SAT above average would help, especially if the school is 400+miles from home.

I know that SD School of Mines has a great reputation for both good engineering (with jobs at graduation) and low cost.
