Please Help

I really have no idea whether to go UCSD or Cal. I grew up in the bay area. My major or at Cal is math and undeclared at UCSD. Please help me, i'm seriously clueless and have like no time to decide.

What's your reason not to go to Cal, since you live in the area anyways? Wouldn't it be more convenient? A Berkeley degree is more prestigious than one at UCSD's anyway..

The environments are different. Where do you see yourself spending four or so years?

have you visited the campus? which one did you like better?
or.. try this.

From what I've gathered, UCSD is a commuter school.

No brainer. Cal is better in every way. The only thing UCSD has over Cal is that it's away from home.

Thank you so much for replying. I visited both schools and i liked/disliked both the campuses for different reasons. Cal is beautiful, but I 'm scared that I won't be able to adapt the urban atmosphere. La Jolla is right on the beach, and i grew up in a beach town and in the water, but the campus life seems dead..low morale.. and i wont have a car.

Hey confused, I had the same decision with Davis also thrown in there. After Cal Day I submitted my SIR to Berkeley. I am looking forward to an urban atmosphere as I live in podunkville, ca (high desert) - I loved the diversity and the feel of the campus and town.

What I did not like about UCSD was they were so rigid about major changes. You can never switch into BioE if you did not apply and get admitted as a freshman.

Good Luck!
