im not sure as to wether i should apply ed2 or rd to wesleyan.
I am an african american female with a 3.8 gpa, but not very good test scores.
According to my teachers and peers, my essay was very very good. I am also submitting
a theater supplement with 2 monologues that I won first place for at a theater competition. I really really love wesleyan and really don't want to go anywhere else. I visited last week and fell in love with the school.

My only concern is that the ed2 pool is very competitive and I don't get in when i could've waited and just applied early decision.

What should i do?

** i meant
"My only concern is that the ed2 pool is very competitive and I don’t get in when i could’ve waited and just applied REGULAR decision. " sorry

Actually, the ED pool is less competitive. You have a better chance. If you truly love Wes more than any other college, go for it. I applied ED I and am so glad I did (not sure if I got in yet, but still). You seem like you have a decent chance. Wes doesn’t have cut off scores or grades or anything so don’t worry. Apply if you really love it!

I just applied EDII and I am SO happy about it…
If Wes is your favorite school and your parents are okay w/ it ($$ stuff), then you should apply. EDII gives you a huge boost over RD – the admission rates are about 2x that of RD. Schools want students who will attend the school if they get in, and they’re more likely to accept you. The pool is also a lot smaller for EDII than for RD.
