Please Match Me :) BU, UNC, Wellesley, McGill, + more!!

Hi! If anyone could do reach/match/safety rankings for these schools I’d really appreciate it!

Background: Chinese-American, from NY state, legacy is at UToronto, middle class suburban blah blah
Current GPA: 4.1, projected: 4.2 (although, side note: my school heavily deflates GPAs - valedictorians usually end up at a 4.9, unlike a lot of schools where there are multiple 5.0s or higher every year)
Projected SAT scrore: I can probably score around a 1500 based on progress and professional opinion
APs: Chinese, Polisci, AB Calc, Lit/Lang, probably at least 2 of these: Econ, stats, French, pysch,
General academic notes: not the best student, mostly Bs in honors classes, don’t take a lot of very hard STEM classes with a heavier focus on liberal arts and social studies
Intended major: probably business /law

Extracirriculars!!
Debate: 2 years captain, won a few local and regional things, qualified to nationals (probably) 3x, opened my own community education debate class, founded middle school debate program, worked as a teaching assistant / intern at a Model UN and public speaking camp
Newspaper: politics columnist, publicity and finance / social media management, head of local news reporting team, did a bunch of big ambitious projects
Volunteering: NHS, a ton of community service / President’s Gold Award things, peer tutored at my school for kids in lower level classes / with learning disabilities

Here are some schools I am thinking about, listed vertically so they’re easy to write stuff next to if you just copy and paste

What is your unweighted GPA? Does this change much if you ignore your freshman year of high school?

Given that you are legacy at Toronto, was either parent born in Canada? Are you a US citizen and do you have any other citizenship? Are you in-state for UMass?

I’m a current sophomore so yes, it would be around a 4.3 if I ignore freshman year. I was born in Canada and have Canadian citizenship (thanks, I should add that to the original post), and I’m from NY state so no, I’m not in-state for UMass. My UW is a 3.7 (also added into the original post)

What is your budget? Have you run the NPC on the US schools?

Unless you are going to get great financial aid, the Canadian schools will be quite a bit less expensive since you have Canadian citizenship.

It is early to guess you chances at these schools.
