Please Post Transfer Admission Decisions

Hi there,
This thread is directed towards anyone who has an transfer application out to michigan state, as i do.
If you wouldn't mind PLEASE post on here when MSU admissions sends you anything. Perhaps put down the date you got it, and what they said (whether it be accepted, rejected, wait listed, accepted for a different semester, whatever.) Also, please post your stats that got you that decision (GPA,credits transferring, intended major, etc) if you are comfortable disseminating that information.
I've encountered quite a few people in my same situation, so I would like to stay in the loop with whats going on with msu admissions. Thanks in advance, and best of luck to you all!! :0

Okay will do! Btw has msu received your final transcript? They received mine 3 days ago and still haven’t looked at my app yet.

Just checked online this morning and saw I got in. They received my transcript May 7th and made a decision May 10th. I’m transferring 28 credits and got in with a 3.1. My intended major is Accounting or Finance.

Congrats. Did you decide whether or not you were going to accept?

ME TOO!! Nice surprise this morning!!! :)

27 credits transferring, 3.85 GPA, intended major is supply chain management.

Thanks romani I think I will accept. and congrats studmuffin! we might have some classes together!

Yeah for sure! Although I don’t apply to broad until after my first semester at State (when I hit will hit 56 credits.) Are you starting broad right now?

No I’m not going straight to broad but I called msu to have them change my major and they said I could declare myself as an accounting major although I’m a sophomore. I thought that was weird.

msufan,
Thats not weird at all. All they did was switch your INTENDED major to accounting. So basically you are pre-accounting. Once you reach junior standing, you will apply for the actual accounting program.

ohh okay that makes sense :)

It says my application is under review… pretty nervous

I applied on March 2nd for fall 2013. I attend a Community College In my first semester of college I took 15 credits and got a 3.5. This semester I am taking 20 credits, I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa NHS, and I also volunteer at a local charity. I also put down Accounting as my Major. I will have 28 transferable credits and I will have also met the Writing and math requirement by the end of this semester.

I applied in early December for admittance in Fall 2013, shortly after the application for admission opened up. At that time, I had 41 credits, of which 33 were transferable, plus another eight AP credits. My cumulative GPA is 3.95, I’m taking ten credits this semester, work part-time, and have been in the past active with several RSOs at Michigan State. Offered admission yesterday morning.

WHAT!!! i applied in janurary and will be transferring 28 credits and have not heard from them yet!! still under review!! so nervous!! And attending a major university! What the heck i want my letter today also!!
