please rate my chances

I am applying ED2
ACT 27, I know my act bad but my I have 98th percentile on my STEM score; I am applying for engineering.
GPA 4 unweighted. MY scores this year are much much better than old years and are improving.
great personal statement, great recommendation letters. One of my recommendation letters is from a univeristy professor.
I have very impressing ECs and awards
I play 4 varasity sports and for this year I got 1st place in table tennis
I also got the " best senior capstone project " for this year. My project was in biomdeical engineering and I am applying to this field.

I will need a lot of financial aid
I am also thinking about bucknell, but many of my friends are applying to bucknell this year
What are my chances?

heeey, could any one help?

Ok, your composite ACT score was 27. But, what were your scores in the different areas - Math, Read, Science and English? Lehigh will look at each subject matter’s score.

If you ned a lot of financial aid why are you applying Early Decision2? Why not apply Regular Decision and see who offers you the best financial aid package?

32 maths, 31 science.
But my English and reading are very low because I am not a native. The English score is average but the reading is bad. My chances are better at the ED2, also I heared that it becomes more competitive and selective in the regular admission specialy if I neeed financial aid.
They said that they provide 100% of the need @kikkydee e

I am international

The chances look better in ED1 AND ED2 because most of the recruited athletes with scholarship are accepted during the ED process. I would do a lot of research about what exactly “100% need” actually means. Lehigh might have a much different idea what your need is. 100% need does not mean you are guaranteed a free college ride. I think they will expect you to work, pay some and take out loans. I don’t have much experience with this but over and over I read stories of students very upset with an ED financial aid package. Maybe you could talk to someone in the Lehigh finance office.

I am a little concerned if your reading score is so low you won’t even post it. You will be expected to have pretty good reading skills on the first day of classes.

I am sorry but I don’t think anyone here is going to know what your acceptances chances are. Best of luck to you!!!

@kikkydee I got 19
I have two friends with the same reading score, the first one got into kenyon college and the another got into bucknell

Well, your friends acceptances sounds encouraging!!! The admissions office would know more about low english scores than I would. I wish someone could help you with a better idea of your chances but truly each application is decided on a case by case basis. I am sorry but I really don’t think anyone can give you an idea what your chances are! Best of luck to you what ever you decide to do! Please keep us posted!!!

@kikkydee Thank you very much; hoping that I will hear good news next month

If you need a lot of financial aid, you might be disappointed what schools determine to be “100% need met”. The expected family contribution schools calculate is so high that many families with a somewhat decent income need to take out loans or deplete most of their savings to pay tuition. You mentioned that you’re not a native? Are you applying as an international or domestic student?

@WilliamNYC I am international student
I tried the net price calculator. My net price was 5k.
2k will be paid by campus work and 3k will be a loan.
If this will be my real package, I completely happy with that and I will go there

I am under the impression that most colleges do not offer financial packages to international students like they do for domestic students @totobotoboto. Merit aid for international students is limited and I don’t think your stats will get you there.

Many of my friends got into different schools in the US like bucknell, kenyon, rice, washginton, oberlin, tufts with nearly full rides. Many of them had 27,28,29 and 30 on their ACT @WilliamNYC
