Please recommend me some good books that focus only on one portion (CR/Math/Writing)

so i just took the jan sat and i must say i was dumbfounded when i got my score: 2050. It was devastated because all of my practice tests (Blue Book and real past tests) were over 2200 and because i got nothing left to do. Please recommend me some good books that focus solely on the CR portion/ Math/ Writing. I've done the Blue Book by collegeboard, 2400 by Barrons, Princeton Review ( only a few since i thought the tests were rather easier than real ones). I have looked at the SAT books thread here on CC but found nothingn that fit my needs.
Please help!

There’s no such thing as magic. If you’ve gone through the whole book thread and haven’t found anything you like, you’re not going to find a better suggestion here.

well the thread, as i saw, is too old, people kept posting questions about particular books yet got no answer. Also the books recommended in the thread were too old, i dont know if the new editions are as good. That’s why i posted here to get some up-to-date recommendation

Personally to get a 2390 I used these/have had some experience with these: Dr. Chung’s for SAT Math, Erica Meltzer’s Ultimate Guide to SAT grammar for the writing portion, and the English I and English II Vocabulary cards for the vocab portion. For Critical Reading I used the Blue Book, Princeton Review’s 11 SAT Practice tests, and a bunch of real SAT tests that I found online.

If you have taken most of the practice tests that are offered to the public, it is safe to say that your SAT score is at its saturation point. It will be difficult to raise your score any higher.

@Bouncer actually i’ve figured out why i got such a low score. It’s because i haven’t got a effective learning plan, and also partly because my mental state on the test day was not good. So if u had any good books, please recommend me
@yellersam: thanks  how long did you practice and was 2390 your first time score? Im aiming for 2300 :D

Anybody has opinion on Noitaraperp’s Method for CR? is it worth the money

“Anybody has opinion on Noitaraperp’s Method for CR? is it worth the money” - its good and its free, search for it on this forum

@Sparkkid1234 I was in the 1900s during tenth grade. But I think it was the summer after 10th that I truly started studying for it. After a month of studying during the summer after tenth had around a 2150 or so. I started doing a cumulative practice test almost every week until the beginning of November last year and got into the 2200’s. I stopped for a while in order to focus on school work and finals and continued to do the same from Christmas Break to January 25th SAT date and brought it up to the 2300s. It was pretty much a miracle that I brought my score into the 2350s+ during the last week. So all in all, I estimate it was around two to three months of intense studying. And yes, that was my first time taking the SAT!

You can definitely improve! Just start focusing more and spreading yourself out. Don’t expect to see immediate results. You’ll slowly start to understand it. I found that when I took a break from SATs and returned a few weeks later, I actually improved. It takes time to slowly absorb the skills to take the SAT so make sure to spread yourself out. Good luck!

And btw, didn’t anyone find Gruber Math too easy? I scored a 610 in December and i got the book right after the test. I felt that Gruber teaches things u dont need to know. He made exercises about stupid things link this one.

Find the numerator of the following fractions:

3/4 bla bla inserts 24 more fractions here

the answer is 3

Like seriously i spent money on nothing

@CHD2013 oh my sorry for that  i’m new to this forum  thank you
@Yellersam well i’m seriously planning to score 2300 on my second test  thank you
@meumeu after spending hours browsing the forum, i noticed that Gruber math and gruber books generally are not very highly ranked, instead u can think about getting dr.chung  like @Yellersam said
