There can be scarcely any doubt whatsoever that at times the stand which people in authority take on the problem they encounter is wrong. Therefore, the fact that ourcitizens should voice their opposition against these decisions and year at heart for a radical change in the present condition is proved to be impregnable.
First, when an egregious mistake has been made, the impact which it has on the lives of millions of people is unimaginably monumental. As we take the China widespread famine occuring in the 1960s into account, it pointed out clearly and equivocally that it was the erroneous policy of Mao Zhedong that led to the downfall of the country. He set up a plan which constituted the first and paramount aim of industrializing the country to gestate its economy at that time. As people were relocated to the countryside, many steel manufactures started to spring up. They worked without respite with a hope of gaining its foothold in the world trade. Against everybody’s expectations, the steel they produced were not qualified enough to use in any industry. Since they dovoted themselves too heartily for a “steel-dominant” future, they were now left starving, had got no plot of land to grow crops because all the factories had stolen their land. If the commonwealth had plucked up its courage to stage a campaign against this policy as they soon saw the direct consequence, the country would have been able to avoid the tragedy.
Second, as all the announcements which the president or anyone in authority deliver nationwide is considered to be infallible, the country is likely to commit those information to memory almost instantly and automatically. Therefore, some prejudice or misjudgements formed in their mindset is hard to change. This standpoint has been historically proven. During World War II, the German people under the regime of Hitler were instigated to burn books or steal art masterpieces, and worst of all to form the preconception against the Jewish that they were inferior and they did not deserve to exist. Such prejudices were handed down form father to son, at the same time at school students were penetrated with this ideology by their teachers. As a result, the world is now suffering from terrorism which has been incited by the Jewish or Islam. Had these systematic curriculum come in for severe criticism, the world would not have been confronted with a supreme mission to counteract terrorists.
All things considered, deducing from the analysis of historical events aforementioned, it is us who have to take the brunt if we blindly follow the orders and policies of someone in authority, The ability to peruse and synthesize the information we received serves a meaningful purpose of correcting old errors in thought and putting an end to wrong actions.
