pleeeease help with my goal to NYU

Hi, i'm just starting my freshman year in college, and i don't really like my college so much. I was wondering after my second year about transferring to say NYU, or Rutgers. I heard that if you didn't take enough classes from your major that they will automatically decline your admission. Is there any requirements that they have to be fulfilled, i'm kinf of scared because i blew off my freshman placement test, and my counseler said i would need an extra semester to graduate, but i figured i could take a couple classes in every summer?. anyway is there any requirements about the certain classes you had to have fulfilled in your major if i'm majoring in biology? Thanks

Have you checked the websites for those two schools?

Do you realize the expense of taking extra classes every summer at NYU? I am so tired of reading about kids taking out 5 times the national average in loans to attend NYU. Only contemplate this school as a transfer fs your parents are happy to pay over $50K for the regular year plus many thousands more for the summers.

i understand it’s a very expensive school, and i don’t plan on taking extra classes in the summer in NYU, but will they decline my admission to transfer after my second year because eventhough i will have 30 credits, i didn’t take the majority of classes for my major?

anything, i could really use some of your guys opinion

[NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Applying for Admission > Transfer Applicants > Special Program Requirements](http://admissions.nyu.edu/applying.for.admissions/transfer/special.cas.html)

bbhswr-even if you didnt any classes for you major in the first year of college, they will not reject because of that. I was an undecided major for 2 years.
