PLME or normal?!?

they give u the two options:

Regular Decision to Brown University and the Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME)

or Regular Decision to Brown University

If i choose the first one with PLME will i ONLY be considered for PLME or for both normal Brown program and PLME…

Also, how popular is the PLME program?

I don’t necessarily NEED to do the PLME program, i just find it interesting. but i don’t want to apply for PLME and hurt my chances of getting into brown in the first place. (im international asking for aid etc etc)

no, applying to plme doesn't hurt your chances of getting into brown at all. you SHOULD apply beacsue it will show you are really interested in medicine. it is very popular, but in no way can it hurt to apply.

well if you want to get into plme like woah do it...but i mean if you're sorta like maybe med...dontn do it. It's an 8-yr program, almost bound in it...and lots of others are dying to get in

it is not binding

Hence the almost. What I meant was that it's an eight-year deal. You're not forced to stay in it, but most do because of the guarantee of a med school.

hey Aspen D what are ur stats

check ur pm
