Hi, I'm international student and my major is civil engineering; I got admissions of 5 universities. So plz help me to choose one and plz leave me some reasons why you choose that one rather than the others:

1) Iowa State Univeristy
2) Oregon State University
3) Rochester Institue of Technology ( with $15,000 scholarship)
4) New Jersey Institue of Technology
5) Pennsylvania State University--University Park

If finances don’t matter then I would go to Penn State. PSU is a well-respected public school and has great academics, social life, and athletics. I’m not sure about you but I’m very fond of athletics at different schools along with school pride and I do know that Penn State has that. PSU also has a good Engineering program so that would make it another reason to go there. However, if finances do matter then I would go to RIT just cause of the scholarship.

I would go with PSU also.

Penn State for the parties.

^
Actually if you want parties you probably would be best going with New Jersey and Iowa State. Pennsylvania State University is often known for its parties but has more academics prestige and recognition of the other four.

Thank you all of your comments.
After carefully consider all the choices, I have narrowed down my list to 2 uni. My plan is to continue studying master and maybe PhD after graduate so I still wonder which one is the better investment? ( my parents told me that they can try to afford the fees)
- Iowa State University: $30,000/year ( included tuition and living expense), study in 5 years.
- Pennsylvania SU - Uni Park: $45,000/year ( included living expense and $26,500 tuition), study in 4 years.

In case my study is good, i would transfer to other uni. with better academic and less money.

If you are in my situation, what do you choose?
