<p>Just what exactly are the prereqs for poli sci (one of my backup majors) ?
I know that the prereqs got changed last year, but the websites are telling me different things.</p>
<p>Poli Sci's departmental website (Undergraduate</a> Major - Political Science, UC Berkeley) says we just have to pick 2 classes out of Poli Sci 1, 2, 4, 5.</p>
<p>Poli Sci's prereqs according to our "Smart Start" book for 2009-2010 says we need the 2 classes plus a history class PLUS Poli Sci 3.</p>
<p>The L&S website says the same thing as the Smart Start book.</p>
<p>Can someone clear this up?</p>
<p>Two classes from Poli Sci 1, 2, 4, or 5 are the only requirements to DECLARE the Political Science major. For example, if you take PS 1 and PS 2 you’re eligible to declare the major officially by going to a major workshop and filling out the necessary forms. The undergraduate requirements for COMPLETING the major are to finish PS 1 and 2 (in this example), in addition to PS 3 and the history requirement. The major also requires 8 upper division courses. So it’s basically a matter of DECLARING the major v. COMPLETING the requirements for the major.</p>
