political/religious affiliations

"That's not a question."

Oh....oh my......you're right. My.....this....this certainly is embarassing for me, isn't it?

...

...

...

smacks forehead

Yeah, I was actually aware of that. Come on, guys, you've got to be quick on the uptake if you want to make into the Ivy League!

calidan, two questions.

First, you're an ass.

Har har...you're funny.

I'm so... confused by Ghaleon's post.

You make a mistake (that we're simply joking about), and then say that WE are the ones who are slow on the uptake? Sure. Right. Gotcha.

I like the "Cinderelly" touch, though. :D

And you never answered my question: let's just be friends?

"You make a mistake (that we're simply joking about), and then say that WE are the ones who are slow on the uptake? Sure. Right. Gotcha."

sigh

Seanbaby, January '05. Never mind.

And no, I think I'm just not going to come here anymore. I thought it would be useful and/or fun. It turned out to be neither, although there were certainly some interesting people.

Anyway, maybe you guys could help me out. Do you know of any good college forums?

(And, sure, calidan. I might see you around.)

Why would you leave? The Dartmouth forum is actually really fun and supportive- much moreso than most other forums on CC. I don't see anything wrong with it.

And as for other forums, there's that forum that always gets *'ed out. But I find it hard to maneuver, and the people on there are strange.

See you around, Ghale! :)

i thought dartmouth was the friendly ivy? why all the animosity guys? its all fun and games in politics. .......until someone dies......

it is! but first of all, many of us are only applicants and may not get in. but you can tell it's friendly - all the other boards are like "we must beat Columbia in the number of posts! Post more! Post!" there's nothing like that ANYWHERE on the Dartmouth board

coughYalecough

I like the D board. :)

me too. it's my fave.

back when I was living on the Penn board, though, there were actually threads created for the express purpose of either A. staying ahead of Columbia or B. beating Columbia. When Columbia finally got ahead, everyone was so depressed and morose, it was ridiculous

I don't like the Penn board- it has no personality. It's so austere, and there are no "resident" posters (anymore). It seems that all the threads are just serious, information-only posts, or they're about how Penn really IS prestigious (often citing USNEWS), even when people say it's not. I don't like it, so I rarely visit it.

god, agreed. Way back when the ED board was thriving, there were regulars with personalities...I still talk to some fellow deferrees online...but it's so EMPTY now! and you're right, it has no personality. It's like it got a lobotomy.

I think that it's unhealthy, though, how much time I spend on CC lol

Yeah... I spend way too much time on here, too. :p

But it can't be that unhealthy spending time on the Dartmouth board, because it's so fun-loving and supportive! It's more therapeutic than harmful, IMO.

Penn loved Big Brother.

So far, no Hindus', Moslems, Buddhists, any out there?

I like certain aspects of Buddhism... but I can't really say I'm a Buddhist. :p

fountain,

didn't you say you were a Sufi?
That's about as diverse as it gets in cc.

I've read some of Rumi's poems--translated by Coleman Barks--so I have a little knowledge of it. Awesome stuff! Hard to believe he wrote it like a thousand years ago.

Yes I am a sufi

Rumi is one of my favorite poets
