Poll - Which presidential candidate do you support?

Idk. It might be Obama.

Idk.

Oh yeah, I forgot to list another reason I'm voting for Obama: Sarah Palin.

I like how he speaks... both substance and presentation. Not much of a reason, but I like it.
He doesn't have Palin.

Obama

a) more liberal socially (aka pro-choice, not anti-gay marriage (letting the states decide for themselves is good enough for me))
b) I think he'll be a better President in terms of how he talks to other leaders, how he handles the economic and other crises - McCain is too angry for me. I don't want him sitting down (oh, wait, he's not willing to sit down with the government of Spain without preconditions...) with a world leader, hitting the table, and cursing someone out. It's a ridiculous way to rule a country, imo.
c) Biden> Palin. Obama has shown that he has respect for the good parts of the past even with his message of change and, imo, much better judgment with his VP pick.

teenage_cliche, I have finally found someone who shares my exact presidential opinions!!!

Yay! My father actually got me really into the election in, like, April when he told me that this would be his first time voting for a Democrat :]

Obama
McCain is a warmonger and chose Palin as VP, Palin is much to inexperienced to to become VP and doesn't seem as knowledgeable to me. Plus, the fact that McCain would be the oldest President with Palin as VP makes me anxious.

17
Obama
- His health care plan is far more accommodating than McCain's.
- He will be more diplomatic than McCain in his foreign policy.
- He prides himself on his intellectualism.
- He is getting all kinds of endorsements from key Republicans now, showing he'll be able to work on both sides.
- He is more civil rights-oriented than McCain.

Exciting! I'm doing a similar survey for the school paper, except it's school-wide.

*16
*Obama!!!

-has the high standard of intelligence and eloquence that American's should expect in their President (reading his memoir for AP Lang totally reinforced this)
-timeline for war in Iraq
-no unfair tax credits for wealthy and large businesses
-didn't call his wife a cn, didn't sing "Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran", didn't choose the stupidest woman on earth for running mate, isn't going to apppoint Supreme Court judges to overturn RvW, didn't state that he believed the US was founded to be a Christian nation

Obama

His economic policy is much more in depth and covers more than McCain's.

Interesting that two McCain supporters are from Oregon.

Obama

In all honesty, I prefer McCain's financial and heath care policies. However, between his wavering opinions on social issues, that darling Palin, and my completely subjective opinion on his oratory and leadership abilities, I think Obama is the stronger candidate. I guess that I feel like Obama would get more done and follow through. And hello, why on earth are we still in Iraq?

Bob Barr

I don't like socialism, but i do like civil liberties

McCain, if I must choose a major party candidate

I'm don't understand the appeal of socialism? Socialism is anti-American.

Obama 4 sure baby!

Lol...that was quite random, coz never heard of him...

Is he one of the random people who never win but always hope (and expect) that they will win ???

Obama isn't a socialist, INVENIAMVIAM. I would have thought you intelligent enough to see through that particular propaganda.

Vote for McCain based on the issues, but don't do it based on a lie.

One is from Lake Oswego (i.e. wealthy).

And, for the record:

17

Obama

McCain isn't a maverick like he claims, attacks Obama for associations when he himself has just as bad (or, I think, worse) acquaintances/friends, and has a clear lack of judgement ability, demonstrated by Palin. It was the closest thing to an indication of his thought processes during a time of desperation or stress, and he didn't do such an impressive job. I don't want that translated to a national crisis. In addition, I don't want Palin anywhere near the Oval Office. Finally, the judiciary is a concern; I don't want more conservative judges like McCain would nominate and eventually get through.

McCain
Anti Abortion, finish Iraq, won't raise taxes
