vinyard vines is really boxy though. doesnt fit well.

Vineyard Vines looks like you took your clothes to where they dye Easter eggs. But people at my rich, preppy LAC drool over their clothing lines so have at it.

:( I spent all of my clothes money on books. I miss shopping at Ralph Lauren and Lacoste. JCrew is cheap and I still shop there. Banana Republic isn’t that pricey either.

J.Crew clothing is pretty good quality, especially for the price. The prices they have online are ridiculous, but if you go into a J.Crew store you’ll find that almost everything is always 40% off.

A little known secret that they don’t usually tell you- J.Crew gives a 15% student discount on top of any other discounts that they have, just show your student ID. So whenever I buy something from there, its usually 55% off their retail price, not too bad.

Jcrew’s quality has gone way downhill these past few years. At the same time, their prices keep going up. I don’t think it’s worth it anymore except maybe for their pants and coats. Nearly everything else, especially their sweaters and tees, feels flimsy and cheaply-made. Jcrew has a very good marketing department though. Everybody just eats their catalogs up.

Classy clothing IS plain-looking but not necessarily dowdy-looking. Most importantly, it should be able to stand the test of time in terms of both style and quality.
