I'm eager to try it out because it frees up a lot of time over the course of the day. The only concern I have is if it will affect my growth. I read that alternative sleeping will trick your body into REM stage when you take naps, so at least I would be able to get the best sleep stage in.

The cycle I plan to use is the Everyman Cycle, which is a 3-hour core sleep, followed by three 20 or 30 minute naps throughout the day.

I do that! It works great for me. The first week is hell, so try and do it over spring break and not during a school week, but after that it is really nice. Because of it I have lots of energy, can get my schoolwork done, do varsity sports, have lots of ECs and have freetime to read and sew.

hm I wonder how difficult the transition would be. You might want to try cycle that’s not as radicle first. It might help make the adjustment easier. But I would go for it, if your not too busy and so on. I’ve read a decent amount about it, and, you know, people have been quite successful on various cycles. it’s worked for them, saved them time, made them more efficient, etc., so I would give it a shot if you’re up for it.

I don’t follow the exact sleep schedule you are supposed to, but weekends aside, I sleep from 12-1 AM, 4-6 AM, not sports (3-5 PM), sports season (7-8 PM)

I’m on the Everyman 2-nap. I sleep during math on block2 days and history on block1 days and after school.

Science Fair tomorrow, however, is an all day event. So I took a siesta nap. I’ve been flipping between siesta (1 nap) And everyman 2-nap recently. It has been going pretty well unless the teacher doesn’t let me sleep in class. Then I die in physics [e.g. today].

It’s 1AM, not tired. Just hungry.

I don’t think you’ll be able to pull off 3-nap system during the school day though? 2-nap is pushing it in and of itself.

I doubt that. I certainly have not shrunk over the years.
You can’t know how it affects you until you do it. Some people need a lot of sleep, some people can function just as well on very little, so you will have to experiment with it and see if it negatively affects you.
You would need at least a week, probably more, or adjustment time, however, so you shouldn’t try it until you can afford that.
