So decisions will be released Friday the 16th most likely?
Seems like it. There’s no reason it would be different from last year (last year was Mar 16 Fri).
Yay just got the email that decisions will be released on Friday. Pretty nervous.
Yes- this Friday at 5pm Pacific Time
Do they usually email the portal update, or do you think we will have to just log on to see the decision?
@caspiancat @SienaRose did you get an email?? i didn’t get one
@cheesecakeboba Yes, my D got an email. We had this problem with another school- never got the email. Frustrating when that happens. Hopefully yours arrives or is found in spam.
nail-biting time although we know it’s far reach. anyone knows how many student they will take in RD round?
This is last year’s
I did some basic calculations based on last year’s data and this year’s applicant pool ( we know they received over 10,000 applicants as that info was released). If the amount admitted in ED stays about the same, I am predicting a 6.1-6.3% regular decision rate with an overall decision rate of about 7.3-7.6%. Of course I don’t know this for sure but with the huge increase in applications this year it’s going to be pretty difficult to get in. My D loves Pomona and we are keeping our fingers crossed! Good Luck to each of you I hope we will all be celebrating, but if not I hope we can provide comfort to each other.
Thanks for the post and kinds words:) “Good Luck to each of you I hope we will all be celebrating, but if not I hope we can provide comfort to each other.”.
It’s a very small college (larger if considered part of 5C), so if you are not admitted, it is more because of a lack of enough seats than it is a statement about your qualifications. Wishing you all the best of luck. chirp chirp!
Happy to see a lot of support and positivity on this thread! I like to think that it reflects the quality of Pomona applicants and admits. Good luck to everyone.
Guys am dying here; does anyone sure when the decisions are exactly coming out?
@shlawendy The email said after 5 pm PDT. Get some sleep and rest!
I find it very annoying that colleges sent emails to the students ahead to let them know when the decision be sent. It causes too much mental stress on both students and parents. My D18 got her acceptance letter from Williams College last evening and they didn’t give such forewarning, which I prefer. This way stress is short lived. She has S&D tournament starting this Fri afternoon and she be very stressed out until the notifications come from multiple colleges around same time, God Willings. So unfortunate! Good luck to all class of 2022.
Guys, I didn’t get a notification e-mail that the decisions are coming; what do you think this could mean?
^^It means nothing. Try not to worry and hope for the best.
So what, exactly, is a Sage Hen? A wise chicken?
Now one word, Sagehen a type of grouse. I’m sure they are all wise, but why named "Cecil?’ I couldn’t find the answer. Can you? And why is he blue and not orange?
