alright what stores do college students shop at for clothes? lets make a list! thanks

where do you shop now?

that is where you will shop

why would anything change.

I've heard Urban Outfitters is quite popular. I like it.

any stores that are cheap..

Although I personally dislike it, a lot of girls wear the J-lo like terry cloth track suits.

i dont know its just a thread :)

anything that is clean and appropriate for the weather =)

j. crew is popular

This a really dumb question. Just shop where you used to or maybe buy a nice sweatshirt at the local campus bookstore.

sry madman i guess i never shouldve asked. sorry to insult you. i just wanted to see if people like certain stores.

I think it sorta depends on the college culture, but for the most part, people wear what they want.

For example, at more conservative schools like BC, you'll see more Abercrombie, Coach, J. Crew and North Face. Just typical preppy clothes.

At schools like Oberlin, you'll be more likely to see "hippie" clothing.

NYU, kind of a mix of everything, more on the funky side. Same at BU, but I also saw a lot of designer clothing there.

Visit the colleges you're looking at/going to and see what people wear. Some schools are really relaxed and people wear pajamas to class, other schools have kids who dress up more. Just depends on the school!!!

I'd say it's more of a mix and match type of thing. People like to wear different clothes from different brands. Different stores sell different styles of clothes. Urban sells many different brands and styles. You definitely have your boho chic, emo, indie, and somewhat laid back styles present at Urban. If your more into the whole prep style then J Crew or Polo or North Face are some popular venues. Abercrombie and AE tend to sell clothes that you can definitely mix and match to your own tastes and styles. It's all a question of what you like, what your style is, and how much you want to break the bank.

The people around my campus are usually AE and A&F people...but you should go with your own style like what others have said. Be yourself!

Around my campus, it's mostly A&E, PacSun, Charlotte Russe, and Gap.

But then, you also get the alternative people like me, who shop at thrift stores and make their own shirts, and are likely to wear velvet skirts, motorcylce boots, and a Victorian blouse--and the whole outfit costs $10.

Thrift stores are the bomb.

depends on the school and its location. But just stay true to who you are and remember: noncomformity is the "trendy". How else do you think new fashion trends are created? Be the starter!

well, get some staples like C&C shirts, some sevens and paper denim &cloth, solows, etc. and your clothes will fit in on any college campus.

"anything that is clean and appropriate for the weather =)"

miniskirts + uggs are not appropriate for 30 degree weather. Though that doesn't seem to stop many people...

my taste just happens to be like most ppl...so i dont really care lol -,-

from my college, people wear Snoop Puppy Child underwear and G-string. (For real man, i ain't joking). personally, i prefer Cingro-Typhon T-shirts and Altoids pants/shorts. but if you're poor, go naked.

wow...this thread is pitifull. Just don't end up in a pink Lacrosse Polo with the collar popped. this is so pathetic I can;t even begin to fathom the lack of individuality.
