I would just like to know more about SDSU
I heard their business program there is really good and it's a really beautiful and friendly place but so far that's all I know.
Are there any bad rumors about SDSU? academically? environmentally?

Also, I am actually trying to pick between Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and SDSU.

I think CalPolySLO is more prestigious academically but I think SDSU has a better business program?

I have a son at SDSU and a nephew at CalPolySLO so I know a little about both programs. CalPoly's engineering program is more prestigious; SDSU's business program is probably more highly regarded. CalPoly is generally harder to get into. One very important thing about CalPoly is the "upside down" curriculum. You study primarily in your own major for the first two years, then spread out taking courses outside of your major. (Changing majors is, of course, really hard under this kind of a program.) SDSU, like most schools, is basically the reverse - the first two years are primarily breadth education courses with an emphasis on your major, then a greater concentration in your major the last two years.
A negative about SDSU? It's like a lot of big state schools - sink or swim. There's a lot of distractions -- it's not hard to party yourself right out of school. You need to plan ahead, hustle, and stay on task to get through in four years.

The upside down curriculum thing isn't really true about Cal Poly. The thing about SLO is that since all freshmen have declared majors, they can take classes in them early. I took 2 GE's per quarter my freshman year, but still got to dive into some biology and chemistry.
