gansta, I would talk to your Hudson Holland advisor to see what kind of support HHSP provides to students trying to get into Kelley. I know a few years ago, Professor Tiller taught a section of A100 that was only about 20 students, all of them in HHSP, and a lot of those students got into Kelley. If there are any special arrangements for HHSP students trying to get into Kelley, they may only be offering those in the Fall Semester, probably first eight weeks. So it might be better for your to take A100 first eight weeks in order to take advantage.

U212 won’t count for S&H credit. It counts for gen ed, though. You definitely have to take it Fall semester anyway, as you know.

CSCI A110 won’t count help with N&M requirements (it is a mathmatical science course, not a natural science course), but it will be a good preparation for K201.

Your schedule looks good for getting into Kelley, except you should talk to HHSP about the resources they have for A100 students, which may only be available the first eight weeks of the Fall semester, so I would think about adding A100 first eight weeks. Also, the discussion sections of U212, a few years ago at least, were divided by majors, and the sections for business majors focused on helping students pass A100. HHSP will probably, at the very least, have tutoring available in the Fall for A100.

Congratulations on get into HHSP! It is a great program.

Really appreciate it thanks a lot! Couple more things though, is a100 a requirement to get into Kelley, I didnt see it up there and do you know anything about bus x104? I was thinking about taking something I was more interested such as a history class as opposed to x104.

A100 is an Icore prerequisite, and you have to take A100 before taking the two accounting prerequites (A201 and A202), so Kelley recommends you take it freshman year. I’m guessing HHSP will have resources to help you pass A100 during the Fall.

X104 is an easy B, and you need to try for all solid B’s to get guaranteed acceptance to Kelley, so yes I would take it freshman year. Also, you need 15 Icore prerequisites, and with the freshman year schedule you have now, you would only be doing four of them. So if you drop X104, you will be even farther behind on your Icore prerequisites.

A lot of the Icore prerequisites can be done in the summer at a cc and transferred to IU. Many cc’s have the following that would transfer: A201, A202, L201 Business Law, E201, E202, finite, and calculus. If you are close to an IU regional campus, you can take ECON E270 instead of E370 in Bloomington and transfer that Icore prerequisite credit.

You can look for what might transfer from your cc to IU on this website:

Why is A100 so hard I saw in one of you post only 37% of students got a b or better? Would it be possible to take it first sem so yr then one of the 200 courses second sem and the other 200 at cc that summer?

Yes you can do that, if your cc offers a class Kelley will accept credit for for A202.

I would definitely bring it up with your HHSP advisor. HHSP is very good at getting their students into Kelley. You don’t want to possibly miss out on their helping you with A100 if you don’t take A100 with the rest of your cohort during the first eight weeks session. It is a great opportunity for you.

Alright I ll check it out thanks a ton for the advice it really helped!
