Possible to take a Math 100 level online? Please help!

Hi,

I am pretty much wrapped up and ready to graduate at my local community college, but I have one problem. When I was fresh out of high school (almost 4 years ago) I did not place in a 100 level math class from the placement test. Since then I have always put math aside. If I was to retake the placement test (which I still poses the ability to do so) I know I would bomb it. I have tried studying for the test but the test is such a wide variety of math, that I struggle with it.

My question to you is, can I take an online math class and still have it transfer? I spoke my counselor (not very helpful) and they mention it should. What online college would you suggest? I spoke with Phoenix university and its going to cost roughly $1100 to tuition for one class.

Thank you for your help!

You are able to graduate from a community college without taking math? That doesn’t sound right.

I would look into taking it online from a community college instead of someplace like Pheonix if you are really set on taking it online. What I would do though is take it in person at your cc so you can get the extra help it seems you need.

I’m not really sure what your question is though. You need to take a college level math class but didn’t test into it? So now you need to take remedial classes which would take extra semesters? So to bypass the whole thing you want to take an online class to fill that requirement? Somehow I don’t think that would work out too well.
