Took some community college classes , what now

I am 22, live out of district from my community college. Classes are $1K each. I made the decision to work full time so I can get an apartment.

The community college I was attending claimed I needed to retest in math because I barely failed the compass test to get in. I was 19 at the time, hadn’t done algebra since 8th grade and of course got a low score.

Going back to the community college is not an option unless I move in district. I had a 4.0 GPA all the way though hs and 3.8 through community college. How would I do online classes?

I passed everything else to go to the school except the math part.

Would I need to take another test?

I am looking at getting a business degree possibly.

Edit: just to clarify I am asking what would I need to do to attend an online college, not going back to the community college.

What is your state of residence? It probably affects financially viable options. Each college has their own rules on placement. Have you ever taken the SAT/ACT?

How many credits do you have?

Texas. Also 9 credits, never took SAT/ACT.

Are you asking how to pass a community college compass math test? I would use edready.org.

What online program were you considering? You can check to see if they have a math placement test requirement, look at what it is - then prep like crazy.

Some schools offer a remedial math class (or two) until you hit the first college level math for your major.
