Post office closed! please help~!

ok i submitted the rest of my app online, and i was going to send out the teacher recs and secondary school report TODAY (i know i’m an idiot)…BUT i did NOT know that the post office is closed on jan 1st… what do i do!!! the earliest i can get them postmarked is probably jan 2nd or even jan 3rd. but penn said no later than jan 1st! is there anything i can do? fedex? ANYTHING!!! HELP ME!!!

its ok...just send them out the 3rd (they'll be closed tomorrow too bc its sunday). they won't mind; they have to process mounds of applications anyway and so they won't notice one thing that arrives a little later.

thanks twink1e. are you sure? i really don't want to be REJECTED just because i didn't sent my teacher/counselor recs before jan 1st!!!

Drive There

Drop It Offf

driving there is actually a good idea... if you live close enough. don't worry about getting automatically rejected. there's nothing you can do now so just breathe :-) think of it this way: what else can you do but send it late (if you don't live near penn)? there's a slight automatic rejection chance if you send it... but there's a 100% rejection chance if you don't send it at all. so don't worry so much and just send it.

i wish i could drive there. but unfortunately for me, i live in a faraway land called canada.

awww i'm sorry. but like i said, just take a chance. what else can u do but send it?

They won't care if the recs come a bit late. Don't worry, just mail it on monday.

for all they know, its the teachers fault. dont worry about it. send it the 3rd and you will be fine.
i'm sending my supplementary materials late, if it helps.

hey hey hey... there you go! that's a good excuse pineappleblondie!

when it absolutely positively has to be there overnight - just send it out fedex/dhl/ups
they are open today
if you fedex overnight the stuff on monday it will beat whatever was sent on friday

yeah, you should be fine.

haha an admissions officer from another school told me that thats why the often given flexibility on the date. darn teachers :)
