So i'm kind of nervous about mine because I want to get about 350+ more points than what I previously got. (1760, want at least a 2100)

Idk if this has been done before, but I think there should be a thread that shows the difference between not studying/studying for it, taking it again etc.

So post how you (hopefully) improved on your PSAT, SAT ACT, etc. here. Thanks:)

I did study for mine for like 6 months. This was my first time taking it and I got an 1850. I don’t know if I’ll take it again. I’m miffed because my math score is a bit low and I really don’t want to take it again for fear of my overall score dropping. Otherwise, though, I’m satisfied with the score 'cause I’m not looking to attend Ivy Leagues and that score should be sufficient enough. I hope.

yeah i didn’t study and got a 1760. i hope i do a lot better. I’m aiming for mid tier colleges but i need MONEY!!!

Mine was so weird, the first time I prepped like a madman for months before the SAT, and ended up with a 2150, which was a bit short of what I was aiming for.

Fast forward to March exam, I went in with no prep (besides what I had done for the previous SAT) and got a 2250…so idk if this is a sign telling me not to study for things…

But yeah, I’m extremely satisfied with my score and I don’t plan on retaking Time to worry about subject tests and APs…

I got an 1810 (600 CR, 570 M, 640 W) in December and I wanted a 2200 (750 CR, 700 M, 750 W), but ended up with a really disproportionate 2020 (660 CR, 580 M, 780 W) in March.

I’m going to retake it in December, but yeah, it’s definitely possible to raise your score. Just study, study, study. I didn’t end up studying nearly as much as I had planned to.

PSAT: 198 (Really regret not studying for this…)
First SAT Practice Test: 2090 (CR 700 M 710 W 680)
March SAT: 2290 (CR 730 M 800 W 760)

I’m very satisfied with my score, and highly doubt I’ll take it again. I may be able to boost CR a little tiny bit for the superscore, but I don’t know if there’s really any point in that.

PSAT: 193 (CR: 55, M: 68, W: 70)

First SAT Practice Test: 1810 (CR: 580, M: 670, W: 560)

March SAT: 2130 (CR: 720, M: 740, W: 670)

PSAT (gr 10): 193
PSAT (gr 11): 230
SAT (Dec): 2250
SAT (March): 2330

People should not underestimate how much they can improve with practice.

My daughter went from ~1900 at the end of sophomore year before any preparation to ~2100 after 2-3 months of preparation in the summer, then go beyond 2300 in Fall (all are average practice scores). She ended up getting 2230 in the real test 9 months after her first sample test. So a 350+ improvement is very possible unless you are already over 2000. Her ACT scores also went up from 29 to 35 within the same period of time.

PSAT (Grade 9): 163
PSAT (Grade 10): 163
First Practice Test: 1750
PSAT (Grade 11): 207
SAT (Grade 11 Oct): 2220 (CR 800, M 700, W 720)
SAT (Grade 11 March): Superscored to 2330 (CR 800, M 800, W 730)

Its all about luck.

10th grade PSAT- 175
11th grade PSAT- 219
First SAT 11th grade (no practice)- 2020 (640R, 600M,780W)
Current Superscored SAT- 2230 (720R, 710M, 800W, 12E)
