posters

what posters should i get? any recs for art (like prints)? thank you

what kind of question is this? get whatever you want to get. lol.

I have the ones I swiped from work... :)
This includes a 1.4m high cardboard Samus Aran, and various other game-related stuff.

i have ideas but i want to see if i'm forgetting anything.

I have some movie posters mostly, and a bright Peace flag.

I have a poster detailing the protein-protein interactions in a neuron. And another one with pictures of different signal transduction pathways.

:D

don't get posters just because you think thats what every college student is supposed to have. what are you interested in? (in terms of music, movies, etc)

i cant wait until the only thing i have to worry about in regards to college...will be what posters im gonna bring :)

MC Esher is awesome

i want a crazy hot picture of Trigun fighting Legato Blusummers in a Kenshin-esque battle scene. They would square off and BOOM! out comes Naruto with a nice Kage-Bunshin no Jutsu combined with a naughty Sexy no Jutsu for a beautiful, striking, and overall erotic poster.

Are you serious?! I totally want in on that, molliebat! PM me as to where you got that. Ah, that is too great...

I have seen this one poster in tons of guys' dorm rooms: the one with two girls kissing in their underwear in black and white.

i got malcolm X posters, Huey P Newton Posters, Bob Marley Posters, Che Guevara posters, and some violin posters, and some pictures of Bermuda, ( i am not in university yet)

Gillespie, are you a guy or girl? That might help for recommendations.

My friend was given a gigantic passion of the christ poster stolen from a movie theater by a worker...he is rooming with a friend and he plans to put it up over the guy's bed one night. (it should be noted that those two friends and myself are non-believer infidels)

huge one of scarface

I'm going to put a big map of NYC and the subway system on my walls. I'd suggest something like that.

I'm gonna put up a gigantic communist propaganda poster (it's great, there's an idealized worker with the sun rising behind him trampling all of these artifacts from the tsardom/capitalist system, and all of the text is in cyrillic so I've got no idea what it says) and a poster of Bob Dylan (in gigantic sunglasses!) that one of my friends gave me for graduation...

Would two posters be enough to pretty much cover the room, or is there room for another one? (Like... American Splendor/The Godfather/Pulp Fiction/Dr. Strangelove?)

But Gillespie, there's no such thing as "missing anything" -- there're no laws of dorm-room decorating! Just put up whatever you like, whatever'll make you comfortable.

The colleges in this area (Duke and UNC at least) have big "poster sales" at the very beginning of school where you can go in and choose from thousands of posters to decorate your room. I don't know if the prices are any better than anywhere else, because I've never bought a poster from anywhere else, but at least you don't have to pay shipping, and sometimes it benefits a cause (the one my freshman year was for some children's program or something). Might be something you want to look into if it's available at your school.

Movie poster of one of your favorite movies and an art print or two. I got a Requiem for a Dream poster (the one with the huge eye on it and the pier) and two Dali posters. I'm not too sure how many I'll need to cover my bare walls, though.
