<p>I was just wondering how high schools announce rankings because everyone else seems to know who their valedictorian is. Does your school post a list of everyone and their rank? That would be embarrassing. Or does the valedictorian just brag about his/her rank. How do you find out your ranking?</p>
<p>usually everybody just knows who the val is by word of mouth. I doubt any school posts all of the ranks.</p>

<p>The only way I know is because everyone in the top 10 is in my band class lol.</p>
<p>My school posts all the ranks, but by ID number rather than name. Everyone knows who’s at the top, though.</p>
<p>My school sends out rankings (rank/total class size) for the first marking period progress report. Now that we use edline, I’m not sure if they plan on posting or making students ask their counselors themselves.</p>
<p>Once rankings come out, everyone harrasses the “smart people” and figures out the top 10.</p>
