<p>However, I am not available on the day the alumnus sets the interview. I will only be free for an interview in the subsequent week.</p>
<p>Can or should I write to postpone the interview?</p>
<p>Were you contacted by e-mail? If you absolutely cannot have an interview that day, let them know, see if another time is possible. If not, there’s not much you can do. If you’ve already agreed on a time, it may be slightly more problematic, but you would need to contact them to move or cancel the interview anyways.</p>
<p>Choosing to ignore the communication would be bad, at any rate.</p>
