I was supposed to take the SAT II’s on the 23rd. However, they were postponed for my testing location until February 20 due to winter storm Jonas. I previously went to the websites of the colleges I am applying to in order to make sure that they would accept the January testing date for regular admission. They almost all do. I cannot, though, find any information on their websites about whether they will accept the postponed version of this test. Does anybody know how universities — in particular some of the upper tier schools — approach this situation, or where I can find the information? Thanks!
@foundereffect I would email or call the school directly. Chances are that someone else has already asked this same question in regards to the same university, so the responses will be the same.
I learned from another thread that MIT, for example, likely won’t accept 2/20 scores simply because admissions decisions come out only a few weeks later. But they will still consider your application without the scores.
Ok. Thank you @MITer94
I had a feeling MIT would not accept the postponed scores since they required that I send the scores directly to them from the January test in order for them to be received in time. I guess it is just bad luck that many of my schools will not get the scores now.
Do you think it would be worth it for me to follow up with admissions offices to explain the situation? Or would that seem like complaining? Or should I assume they already understand this particular situation entirely?
